In 2004 was the mangeur de cigogne SEO contest on Google. The first one ever organized by Promoweb. And the best one ever. We won it with this page of ActuLab.
In 2005 Promoweb launches mangeur de cigogne Episode II, a.k.a. the sorcier glouton contest. This time we play on MSN Search. We could not do less than participate. We can't rank better than in Episode I. But we'll fight no to rank worse!
We don't have more than 2 objectives: have fun (that's easy) and learn more about SEO (that's easy too). I almost forgot a third one: win the competition;) (easy?)
Of course we'll hear again the same complaints from the ones who don't play in case they would not win: SEO contests pollute the search engines' index, SEO contestants are spamers who use outlaw techniques.
Hey guys, there is no such thing as a "MSN Search law". There are only MSN Search guidelines. And the last time we used them... well we never used them (ROFLMAOASTC(*)).
So we'll experiment a lot of dirty SEO tricks. And the first one who thinks we're cheating would better spend his time tuning his meta keywords tag:))
We've heard this one many times as well. SEO contests are a waste of time since they have nothing to do with "real life" SEO. Of course! So what?
